Why Foolishness is in Wisdom, Why Wisdom needs Foolishness June 28, 2014 by Ed 2 Comments I like to say “there’s a Yin and Yang of everything”. If Truth must be paradoxical, can it be because it must contain the two polarities (opposites). They complement each other. Anything less is merely glib, not profound.
This is a very interesting discussion. I particularly love sincere, honest discussion of the ultimate realities of our lives, that are often ignored. Why ignored? I’d guess it’s because of shame in exposing one’s thinking about imponderables, and fear of the confrontation with one’s own ignorance.
Agreed, in fact that seems to be related to why being highly educated can cut off one’s view of the unknown (losing the knowing that one doesn’t know). Interestingly, some who become highly educated with much experience become more aware of how little they know, whereas some tend to lose that awareness.
