Chuang Tzu asks whether we could understand the wisdom of a 10,000 year old man. The implied answer is “No”. The meaning of the question is that wisdom is, perhaps, scenario dependent. It depends on the time frame within an action must be evaluated. This is related to the famous Taoist story of the farmer who’s horse ran away.
