One of my goals for this website/community/outreach is to develop a sincere discussion of timeless quotes, for the shear enjoyment of paying attention to what’s real in life. Oscar Wilde tells us that “Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about it.” If we’re seeking to become Wise then we’re setting ourselves up for a “serious” disappointment. However, like when it’s dark out, and you know that to see something better it helps to look a little to the side of the thing, let’s not try to tackle Wisdom head on. Rather, let’s just dance around it a bit and see what happens. As is said, “don’t be attached to the outcome”.
In any case, Chuang Tzu asks whether we could understand the wisdom of a ten thousand year old man. The implied answer is that of course we couldn’t! So, “deal with it!”
